Program and Planning
Belonging, Being and Becoming
For Preschoolers, we apply the principles and practices of The Early Years Learning Framework - Belonging, Being and Becoming.
The Early Years Learning Framework draws on conclusive international evidence that early childhood is a vital period in children's learning and development. It has been developed with considerable input from the early childhood sector, early childhood academics and the Australian and State Territory Governments.
The framework highlights and emphasises the importance of play based learning where literacy, numeracy, social and emotional development are developed with close collaboration with children and partnerships with families.
My Time, Our Place
For school aged children, we apply the principles and practices of the The Early Years Learning Framework - My Time, Our Place.
School aged children require a slightly different kind of care to the younger preschoolers. At Wyndham Early Learning Family Day Care we recognise the challenges faced by school children so we approach their care using the principles and practices of My Time, Our Place.
School age care educators take a holistic approach to their roles and responsibilities recognising the connectedness of mind, body and spirit. They focus attention on children's physical, personal, social, emotional and spiritual well being as well as cognitive aspects of learning at it pertains to lifelong learning.
